Craig Weems

Craig Weems established Weems Asphalt to be a company that is equally focused on people as they are project outcomes. As president and founder, Weems brings years of proven leadership, having grown his career and companies over the past 25 years.

Starting truly from the ground up, Weems grew his passion for construction right after graduating from San Diego State University, working as a plant operator and manager in an asphalt manufacturing plant, where he learned how the material was produced and quality was achieved. His inquisitive nature for the business continued and soon he was directly responsible for operations and sales, managing a team of people. Transitioning to the other side of the business of construction execution, where he managed such notable projects as the Loop 202 Freeway (Power to Elliot segment) and multiple municipal maintenance programs.

Rising through one of the largest construction companies in the Valley over the past 13 years, Weems has held the positions of Division Manager, Vice President of Operations, Chief Operations Officer and President, leading every facet of the business, from safety, to operations and employee engagement, to geographic expansion through acquisitions for commercial maintenance companies and commercial asphalt manufacturing business.

Weems is well-suited to apply these experiences to grow the business. As President and Founder, Weems’ responsibilities include developing and implementing high-level strategies, managing the overall operations and resources of the company, while ensuring the highest quality for our customers, and the safety of our partners and communities we serve.

Weems is deeply committed to giving back to the community, having served as a Phoenix Thunderbird for more than ten years, as well as for the Executive Council Charities for four years.
